Production Blog: Reviews!

 Welcome back!

        Today, I asked my family to review the rough draft of the music video in order to see what should be changed. I asked my mother, father, and my sister; I'm sure Emma will do the same with her family and friends. In the end, we will gather all the things discussed and review what things are possible to change, which of the things they said made sense in correlation with the idea we are trying to portray, and which don't. We are attempting to get an idea of how the average viewer may see this. in order to know if we are portraying the right story.

        My father gave us a few helpful notes. A huge thing we said was that the music didn't really fit what was being shown. Honestly, I agree with this. I didn't take much time in really finding what fit best, I will definitely change the music during the next round of edits. Furthermore, he discussed how some clips were much more oversaturated than others, making it seem odd. Again, I agree with this, I need to go back and readjust the settings of each clip. He also discussed how the scene with the curtain simply didn't fit with the rest of the opening scene. I am not sure what to think of this, I'm going to try and test out how it would look with and without and weigh my options.

    My mother didn't give us too much advice on what to change, I have no clue if that was because she really didn't think anything was wrong with it or she was being a parent and only telling me it looked amazing. However, one thing she did discuss was something she agreed upon with my father, the fact the music didn't fit the story being shown. This solidifies the fact that I need to change this.

    My sister mainly joked about how much it sucked, in sisterly fashion, however, she did give some good advice. One of her biggest points was the fact that the actors seemed like they were acting, aka bad acting. I cannot change this as I don't have the time nor the budget to make these kinds of changes, I'm stuck with what I've got, but my parents did the best they could!

    Taking this into consideration, I will definitely be editing the music and the coloring of each clip soon!
