(Re)Introducing Myself!

                 Hi, I'm Sara Smous! I am currently taking AICE European History, AICE Sociology, AICE English Language, Honors Chemistry, Honors Algebra 2, and of course,  AICE Media Studies. Throughout the first semester of this class, I have grown so much. 

            Although my commercial and music video wasn't the most amazing thing you've ever seen, they were the best I could've done with the knowledge I had. For the final task, I will be able to use all of my acquired knowledge in order to make it the best I can. One of the biggest things I wish to combat for the Final Task is the quality of it as a whole. When I went back to view the commercial and music video they both had one common theme, some shots were very clear while some were blurry. When filming I didn't realize how blurry the shots ended up being. I made attempts to remedy this issue in the editing process thinking that this was an issue with the transfer from my phone to my computer, however, no matter what I did the video ended up the same way, blurry. This causes me to believe the issue began in the filming process, therefore, the only way to remedy this is to pay close attention during the filming process to spot any errors I may find. 

    Furthermore, for this project, I realized that I needed structure. For the music video, I worked completely alone. I have a huge procrastination problem, so I ended up not following the plan whatsoever. Another issue I faced was that I am in many extracurriculars. I recently joined the Tennis team at my school and along with that I am working at the Museum of Discovery and Science, volunteering at the Humane Society, I am a big with Big Brother Big Sister, along with other things. I have a very busy schedule which can sometimes be unpredictable, this threw off my schedule very quickly and when I had planned for certain days I would end up being too tired to begin the filming process. While I will dive deeper into this issue when I discuss my group, I have decided to work with one other person. This will help me stay on schedule. My partner also works at the Museum of Discovery and Science, so we will be able to balance our schedules as we understand that we have to do this.
